Description

This banknote set includes 4 pieces of Jamaican dollar banknotes from 2022 in denominations of 50, 100, 500, and 1000. Notes from this set are printed on polymer and were issued to commemorate Jamaica’s 60 Years of Independence. Their obverse depicts the Jamaican coat of arms, the independence logo, and prominent Jamaican personalities such as Nanny of the Maroons and Samuel Sharpe, Paul Bogle, George William Gordon, Marcus Garvey, and Alexander Bustamante and Norman Manley. Their reverse shows various scenes such as the Jamaica House, Dunn's River Falls, building facades in Port Royal, and the Gordon Cave Beach. Banknotes from this commemorative collection are in uncirculated condition.
